About Us
Sustainable Geotechnics is a R&D consultancy firm on the use of vegetation and sustainable materials in geotechnical engineering applications and against natural hazards. Its co-founders are Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Ecology, and Agronomy and their advanced investigation skills are: - identification of the best native species and their physiological processes; - use of large-scale laboratory equipment to quantify the reinforcement of vegetation on soil and the hydraulic behaviour; - in situ sensors set-up and data interpretation (soil, atmosphere, and vegetation); - advanced computer simulations of the soil-vegetation-atmosphere interaction, to upscale from laboratory results to the site scale; - quantification of ecosystem benefits (CO2 reduction, soil quality, biodiversity, environmental impact, phytoremediation).
